In the UEFA Euro 2020 group stage, England will face Czech Republic, Croatia, and the winner team of the Path C play-off group, featuring Scotland, Israel, Serbia, and Norway.
Gareth Southgate’s side are the number one seeds in Group D, meaning that all of their fixtures will take place at Wembley and the remaining fixtures in this group will happen at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
The Three Lions are going to start their campaign with a tense fixture against Croatia and hope to shed the scars of their World Cup semi-final defeat. Then they will face the winner of the Path C play-off group, before facing Czech Republic to finish the group stage. Before suffering defeat in the reverse fixture, England thrashed Czech Republic 5-0 at Wembley during qualifying.
However, a same situation to the World Cup can arise with England set to meet the runners up in Group F in case they top the group. That would mean a round-of-16 tie against one of Germany, France, or Portugal, which Gareth Southgate will be keen to avoid.
